Tacking to starboard:
Bowman moves around front of mast on tack, takes spin halyard with him
to put in front of shrouds.
Twings presets port twing before moving (eased)
Jib/Guy trimmer does NOT cross sheet (disregard if in a tight situation)
Starboard approach:
Twings presets starbord twing
Bowman eases starboard (lazy) jib sheet - pull forward.
Bowman passes back downhaul, under lazy sheet correct side of mast
Pit attaches downhaul
Bowman puts in guy and puts pole forward
Pit tensions topping lift (from rail)
Pit tensions downhaul once pole up (from rail)
At the mark:
Bowman eases boom vang to help turn the boat
Bowman takes off main cunningham
Jib/Guy trimmer eases jib and hands off jib trim to the spinnaker
trimmer.
Helm eases main
Helm eases backstay
Pit prefeeds chute around shrouds (this can be twings person if not
needed on rail)
Spin trimmer pulls jib sheet to get spinnaker tack outside of jib if
necessary
Bow keeps pole forward and helps with prefeed
Spin trimmer cleats jib sheet
Jib/Guy trimmer is now trimming guy through prefeed
Bowman jumps spinnaker halyard up
Pit eases downhaul as pole comes back
Twings person pulls down hard on clew of chute if any kind of wrap.
Spinnaker trimmer eases sheet to put chute in front of boat (if
necessary)
Pit drops the jib
Bowman gathers the jib on deck
Twings eases main outhaul
Twings takes slack out of port twing
Twings eases main halyard if necessary
Bowman takes jib cunningham off
Gybing:
Helmsman calls "prepare to gybe"
Helm calls "driving deep"
Trimmers rotate chute
Twings eases pole twing
Bowman trips pole
Twings person pulls down new twing when pole is "made"
Helm pulls through the main
